About TEAM

TEAM operates as a virtual company, with a team of more than 20 Associates. Our consultants combine extensive experience as practitioners, managing destination operations, with many years of consultancy experience working for DMOs and related organisations around the world. Our strength is in putting together expert teams which provide precisely the right blend of skills for the project in question and which are dedicated to achieving workable solutions. We are well used to working in complex political environments where there are multiple stakeholders.

The philosophy of TEAM is to exceed customer expectations. We have demonstrated success in doing so and achieved a high level of repeat business from clients including North West Development Agency, One NorthEast, East Midlands Tourism, South West Tourism, South Warwickshire Tourism, Marketing Birmingham, The Mersey Partnership and The City of Cape Town Council. We welcome the opportunity to maintain a continuing relationship with clients, working with them not only to develop strategies and plans but also to implement projects successfully and provide continuing advice and assistance, where required.

TEAM has offices in various parts of England and Scotland and can supplement its UK based personnel with consultants based in Singapore, Belgium, Canada, South Africa and Australia.

An important aspect of TEAM's work is in the application of e-business solutions to the delivery and management of tourism services by both tourism destination organisations and tourism businesses. The aim is to enable them to operate with maximum efficiency and effectiveness in their tourism marketing, visitor servicing and sales. TEAM's approach is business orientated, with a strong focus on the needs and requirements of the customer (internal or external).

TEAM was established in 1997 by Dr Roger Carter, who had had 25 years of successful senior management experience with tourism organisations at national, regional and city level - latterly as CEO of the Edinburgh Tourist Board. He is a Fellow of the Tourism Society, a Member of the Tourism Management Institute and a former Vice President of the International Federation for Information Technology and Travel & Tourism.

Roger Carter has spoken regularly at conferences and seminars organised by the UNWTO and by individual NTOs - in South America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
