Destination management and marketing training for Estonia

The challenge:

The goal of the programme was to improve the competence of tourism organisations and entrepreneurs throughout the country to contribute to Estonia’s goal of developing internationally competitive destinations.

The training needed to improve participants’ knowledge of marketing internationally attractive and competitive destinations and provide them with the skills to create a tourism development plan for their region.

Services provided:

TEAM was commissioned by the Estonian Tourist Board, part of Enterprise Estonia, to deliver a destination management training programme and compile a destination management handbook.

Outcome:

The training programme was divided into three modules: destination management, product development and destination marketing and delivered in two days to 50 people.

TEAM Tourism Consulting also prepared a practical destination management handbook based on the topics covered in the training course.
