Master plan for Yanbu Northern Coastal Front

Client:

Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities (SCTA)

The challenge:

The objective of this study was to produce viable development concepts and master plans for sites that have been earmarked for tourism development in Yanbu al Bahr, with the aim of connecting Yanbu town and historic district with the coast and beach front.

Services provided:

The team studied the existing plans and research documents provided and developed a creative vision. A socio-economic impact assessment of the proposed development was conducted to determine cost benefit proposition, employment impacts, SME business opportunities and overall effect on the economy.

Outcome:

Two interim reports were produced: one to define the development concept plans and sketch designs of the various components; and one to present the detailed development guidelines. A final report included the outputs of the project phases (text, maps, detailed drawings, rendering perspectives, etc.) and incorporated comments by the team.
